Working at Funtastic

It was a hard day's work.  I have to travel
all the way from San Jose del Monte, Bulacan to Las Pinas City (took
about 2 1/2 hours) just to fix some things and make some website
changes.  The travel itself is already an endurance test but that
didn't end there.

I left home at around 8:00 in the morning and
rushed my way to my destination.  Packed my laptop, took a
jeepney, then an FX, then MRT, then Taxi - yes, 4 rides to reach my
destination.  I slept during most parts of the travel until I
reached Las Pinas City - the place where Funtastic is.

The reason why I went there was to make bug fixes on their website and
make some more changes.  Then I was also supposed to train their
staff on how to use the website's modified Content Management
System.  At first I thought it won't be a hassle until I realized
that their programmer - the guy who made their inventory system - will
not be available until four in the afternoon.  In other words, I
have to wait.  Actually, most of my time there was wasted by
waiting for this guy but then it's nobody's fault (though Rex, the
owner of Funtastic, said that it was his fault because he didn't notify
Sammy - their programmer).

To make the story short, Sammy became available at around 4pm through
remote computing.  He manipulated the company's inventory program
via modem and he was such an amazing guy.  After making his
changes to meet my "demands", I then resumed my work.  It was
about 5:30pm.

Everybody in the office were already leaving except for a few.  I
was decided to finish my work on the same day as I don't want to travel
that far again.  But 7pm came by and there were still bugs.
Something was wrong and I can't figure it out.  Probably due to
time pressure.  My mind already wanted to go home.

So, I decided to call it a day.  I joined Rex in his car on his
way home and he dropped me somewhere in Alabang.  I then took a
jeepney to Alabang Metropolis, then took a bus from their.  The
bus took my straight home.  Two rides but much longer - about 2
1/2 hours.

Now, I'm finally home.  Indeed, there's no place like home.

P.S.  Did I get paid?  No.  Rex said that he'll deposit
his payment to my bank account instead.  When, I honestly don't
know…. :(
