Working as a Consultant

January 30, 2005 · Posted in Mike's Blog

I am not a college graduate. In fact, I
didn’t even finish high-school. However, I acquired computer
programming skills through some other way and now I make a decent
living (not YET luxurious) by developing websites. But it didn’t
end there because now, some company hired this “uneducated” guy to be a
consultant…
The name of the company is ASSET Incorporated and
they hired me to be a consultant in developing their online database of
Nurses and Senior Carers for the United Kingdom. I am given the
task to aid their IT in developing said database and make sure that the
database will be such that it works perfectly. Setting pride
aside, I must say that doing this thing is e-a-s-y but that’s not the
point. Instead, what I am saying is that someone trusted to
consult me. Big deal? Perhaps, not for you but to me, IT IS!I am scheduled to go to work twice a week - Tuesdays and Thursdays -
from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. At least, I can still do my main
business which is web hosting.

So, thanks to Mr. Rene Lamzon - president of ASSET Inc., to my web
development friends (especially Benj Arriola) who are always ready to
exchange notes with me. Thanks to my wife who supports me all the
time and most of all, thanks to GOD who - I’m sure - have set all
things up for His glory.
