Back on track again…

June 18, 2005 · Posted in Mike's Blog

The past few weeks had been very hectic and
troublesome for me.  Problems, responsibilities, deadlines, etc.
and such a very hectic schedule did knock me off the track.
Gladly, I'm now quickly recovering and getting back online.
So what happened for the past weeks.  To name a few - my mom had a
major operation.  She had her uterus and ovaries taken out due to
"mayoma" and please don't tell me what mayoma is in English as I really
don't know.  But generally, it's some kind of tumor that grows in
the uterus at it got big and caused my mother severe pain.  That
event alone took me out for more than a week.

I also have to admit that lots of my work for DWC were delayed -
especially due to my mom's operation.  By the way, my mom - Carmen
Olivia Gonzalez Pagulayan - is already on her healing process in her
home at Taguig, Philippines.  And for those who will ask me the
question, "How come you're Lopez and your mom is Pagulayan?"  The
answer is simple - Pagulayan is that surname (or lastname as you may
call it) of my stepfather.  Also thanks to my two brothers -
Simple (a.k.a. Paul) Pagulayan and Oliver (a.k.a. Louie) Pagulayan for
being so helpful.  Simple even went down all the way from Baguio
and was the one who paid for the hospital dues - I owe you bro and I
will pay you.  Hehehehe.  As for Oliver, he has been so
helpful in taking care of mom.  Then also special thanks our aunt
- Tita Olga Gonzalez - who celebrated her birthday on the exact day
that my mom's belly was being "split open."  She also spent lots
of time taking care of my mom in the hospital.  Then of course to
my two other aunties - Tita Marilou and Tita Vic.

Then I also had to attend meetings, meetings, and more meetings.
Meetings that never ended.  Talking, talking, planning, planning, then
so far - nothing much has happened yet.  But then, I call that
investment.

What else?????  I also had to make sure that I had enough money to pay for my two daughters' tuition fees.

There are more that I can say but I choose to be quiet for now…
Sorry to keep you thinking…  Anyway, the point is I'm now back
on track.  To my boss at DWC Mark Kevitt, thanks for being
considerable.  And also to Luis Argerich, thanks for giving me
time to spend with my family.  You guys are the best!!!
