When most people say it’s safer to stay I home - I
think twice. I think I have more chances of dying with air
pollution while at home than in the streets. Why? My
brother-in-law drives a delivery truck for his cousin. Since our
house and my in-law’s house are in the same compound, the truck that he
drives is parked in our garage. Each time this trucks starts its engine, the smoke it produces is so so
so so so so bad that the entire garage and inside of our house is
filled with lung-choking smoke. I wonder how this truck passed
the anti-smoke belching law the last time it renewed it’s papers.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh……

OK, a few months back I bought myself a Dell
Latitude C600 from a friend. In other words, it’s not brand new
but it’s in very good condition. But now, after enjoying the
laptop’s performance for quite some time, I encountered my first MAJOR
problem - the Dell Battery ain’t working properly.
Last April, my battery indicator lights started
blinking 4 oranges and 1 green. I knew there’s a problem.
But the battery was still charging. So, I made some experiments,
tried to discharge it and recharge and reboot and I can’t remember what
I exactly but somehow it got fixed. No more orange lights
blinking. Also, during this problem, when I press the “test”
button in the battery itself it blink lights 1-3-5 instead of showing
the battery’s charge. Anyway, it was fixed until…Until today… All of a sudden, the 1-3-5 battery lights started
blinking again, and the battery indicator lights on the laptop started
blinking the annoying 4 oranges and 1 green. But it got
worst. Now, my battery doesn’t appear to charge anymore.
Even the battery status of my Debian Linux shows that it’s not
charging. And when I press Fn+F3 (the laptop’s built-in function
to show the battery status), it says that the battery status is “Idle”
(not charging) and the battery charge is 0%

Worst is when I turn off my laptop. For some reason I just can’t
turn it on easily again. It won’t turn on that easy, it takes
time. I don’t know what really happened. I wonder if buying
a new battery would fix the problem. I hope my laptop is not
fixed.

Also about the power on problem, it happens both when the battery is attached and not.

So any help will do!!! S.O.S.

Dell guys, help me!!!
