From Firefox 1.07 to 1.5

I finally gathered all my strength and courage to move up to Firefox 1.5 despite the rumors that it causes bugs on most websites including those that run Mambo / Joomla.  Some say that some bugs also popped up in Google’s Gmail though I haven’t confirmed it myself.

The truth is, after my first attempt to move up to Firefox 1.5 a.k.a. Deer Park, I eventually downgraded to 1.0.7 after a couple of days.  Nonetheless, when I did an apt-get dist-upgrade on my trusty Mepis/Debian installation on my laptop, it downloaded the new Firefox version.  I know the guys in Debian do test new releases of applications before they add it into their repository and since they already have Firefox 1.5, then I think it’s worth staying with it already.

So that’s it.  I sure hope nothing wrong happens with my the websites I visit with the new Firefox (or Firedeer hehehehe) I have.

Now just one thing bothers me, why Deer Park?
