The reason why I switched from Digitel DSL to Smart Wifi is because Digitel can be down for as long as 4 days at times. My switch to Smart Wifi was smooth and lovely. The speed is slower compared to Digitel but acceptable back then - yes BACK THEN.
Now, months after my first day on Smart Wifi, the speed has been agonizingly slow. And at times, almost nothing. I don’t understand why this happens. One moment, it’s fast, and another moment it doesn’t work at all. It’s just so unstable! And now, what do I do? For now, nothing. For now, all I can do is hope that the service of Smart Wifi will get better.
Calling Smart Wifi and Meridian Telekoms!!!!! Please make our connection speed faster! At the time of this writing, it’s slower than dial-up! Sometimes taking upto 3 minutes just to load google!

same experience in here. you might be dowloading a lot of stuff, torrents. i don\’t what\’s the technical term but smart would sort of slow down your connection if you\’re dowloading too much. so try to be invisible when you download. heheheh… i hope you\’re connection is owkei now!

No, I wasn’t downloading anything. It just happens at times especially during noontime till late afternoon that it just becomes sooooooo slow. All I have that is connected to the internet is my browser and I have no torrents installed and it takes like 10 minutes to load the webpage of google!
It is ok now but still there are times when it becomes so slow…

Except for a very bad dial up connection I had, this is one of the most unpredictable connections I ever had. One day it can be running great, but another day it creates a total feeling of depression with a connection so slow it makes posting a loetter look high speed. Many days the connection is unusable simply because its too slow to use. Even bringing up the google search engine can take between one to two minutes in extream cases. If you call them and you go to a technical supervisor they try to make it seem its the fault of your computer by checking this and that, but never listen to you when you tell them you have also got a laptop and the connection is the same. I am unfortunate for the moment because I cant access any other service, but as soon as globe or another good connection comes along they will have lost my custom and I think the custom of many other customers so they should do something now before the future arrives.Its slow today so when i submit this I am expecting it to take ages to send, though it should be instant. I use the internet for business but I have to take the day off today because of it along with yesterday. Considering it can be a useless connection 50% of the time, I never see them giving a rebate on the bill like many do. If you only get half a service you should only pay half the price. I would rather pay double for another service that works. This is becomeing a total headache.
LOOK OUT SMART WIFI, you will lose a lot of customers if you dont provide the service, and its not exceptionally cheap as broadband in most parts of the world are around the same price, but with a much bigger bandwidth thats actually usable!
