My Daughter Cooked Dinner
To those who don’t know yet, I have two lovely daughters. The older one is Kei and just turned seven last August 2. The younger of the two is Vhi and is 5 years old. Yesterday, Vhi cooked dinner for us - of course with the guidance of our house helper and my wife. She cooked one of my favorites - Adobong Sitaw. The benefit of letting Vhi cook this is that she ate it too. She doesn’t eat ’sitaw’ but this time she did just to prove to us that what she cooked tastes delicious. As an added bonus, Kei also ate the adobong sitaw gladly.
Good work Vhi!

For the benefit of the people from other countries…
Sitaw is string beans.
Adobo is a of dish where the food is drowning in cooking oil with a lot of soy sauce. Most of the time, Adobo by dafault is either chicken, pork or both. This is one of the Filipino dishes that many people from other cultures love to eat. Every American that has tried Filipino food that I personally met, love Adobo, Lumpia, Pandesal and Puto. And they hate the thought of eating Dinuguan and Balut.
Adobong Sitaw is Adobo of Stringbeans. So it is stringbeans with oil and soy sauce. But to add more flavor to it, chopped chunks of pork is added.
Thanks for the deep explanation Benj! I couldn’t have said it better.
