P25,000 Datamex Scholarship NOT FOR SALE
I honestly used to think that it was legal because I was told by my leaders that it was so. But now that I know it’s wrong, I have no reason to continue selling scholarship grants. I’m very sorry if I gave you false hopes. However, I would like to inform the public that I never was able to sell a single scholarship grant. Lucky for me I guess.
Now, for the sake of public information, I am keeping this blog post up but no longer selling the scholarships. If someone tries to sell you the scholarship certificate, don’t buy it.
30 years and well…
It’s been one year since my last birthday and 30 good years since I was born and well… I guess all things went well. Have learned a lot of new stuff especially those related to business and marketing – specifically internet marketing – and new goals have been set. I tried a new hairstyle and I got a “new” laptop. A few nice projects here and there and a bunch of other money-making stuff on the side.
The best part of this year however was me having my first baby boy – Jae Lopez. Oh he’s such a cute little baby – aren’t they all?
Ups and downs and a few twists and turns and suddenly I realized it’s March 18 again and I’m now 30. Well… I’m starting to feel those “aging” related body pains and my sleep is starting to get shorter (about a minute shorter than last year’s hehehe).
Whew! Happy Birthday to me.
Actual Photos of my “not-so-new” Laptop
Ok, I promised in one of my recent blog posts that I will upload some actual photos of my “not-so-new” Compaq Presario V2000 laptop so here they are:
Just click on any of the above thumbnails to view the larger version.  And yes, that’s a KDE desktop you’re seeing there.

I’m bald again!
Ok, this is going to be a short post… months back, me and a friend decided to get a new look. After maintaining it for two months, I thought, why not try the long-hair rockstar look? So I went down the road of letting my hair grow long – until today. Yes, only until today. I can’t take it anymore. My hair is growing thicker and thicker as it grows longer and dandruff is starting to plague me. Furthermore, the hot weather here in the Philippines is taking its toll on me.
Ahhhhhhh……!!!!!!
I went to the nearby parlor and told them to shave all the hair on my head. 30 minutes after, I’m back to being bald and I love it.

Who is George Lindemann
Once and for all, who is this George Lindemann? There’s been quite some search engine optimization campaign for this guy and I even find some bloggers getting confused on who this guy really is. Well, allow me to quote a paragraph from the PFAW website.
For the past five years, George has been an active and influential philanthropist and supporter of the Miami Arts Community. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Miami-Dade Performing Arts Center Foundation, and served on their Executive Board of Directors from 2002-2004. During this time, George also served Member of the Miami Art Museum Exhibition Committee, a Trustee of the Miami Art Museum, a member of the City of Miami Arts & Entertainment Council, and Chairman of the Performing Arts Center Next Generation Committee.
Ok, that more or less gives us an idea on who this guy is. He’s basically rich since he’s a philanthropist and a supporter of arts. Hmmm, some rich guy who wants to build his name perhaps???
To Motorcycle or not to motorcycle
It appears that everybody in the Philippines wants a motorcycle except myself. I definitely know how to drive a motorcycle but I never really had the urge to by one for myself. Why? Well, it’s because of the higher risk of accidents. Of course accidents happen all the time but it doesn’t mean that we can’t do anything to avoid it. I definitely don’t want to end up like this guy (warning, you may throw up) who’s brains got scattered all over the ground. Not even the Toronto plastic surgery guys can fix that.
No motorcycles for me… but a nice car would do.
Business in the US
I was always told that the US is the land of promise. It has lots of opportunities and lots of things to offer to the average Tom, Dick, and Harry guy. Through all these promises, it appears though that the best business to do in the US would be something that either has something to do with real estate, information technology, and health and beauty – especially plastic surgery.
The real estate thing is something that’s not within my reach as of now but it is something that I am targetting to achieve in the long term. The information technology side is well within my boundaries and in fact I’m already making IT related business for the past few years. The health and beauty angle on the other hand is new but achievable. Just like any other modern business, targetting the health and beauty market can also be done online but it isn’t as easy as it appears. Creating a website say for plastic surgeon in New Jersey – though it is geographically targetted can still prove to be quite tough. I guess I just have to research more on it (more on this in my SEO blog).
Wish me luck.
Looking for some art stuff
I live in a small house with a small bedroom, a small kitchen, a small sala, and a small dining room. The walls are not yet painted so I’m planning to have it painted before the July to add a bit more spice to the looks of this place that me and my family call home.
Then the idea of hanging some paintings on the wall came up. Someone pointed me out to a painting which appears to be a gift by George Lindemann jr. The painting looks nice by its standards but too bad, I’m not an abstract lover myself. So I guess that painting is out for the moment.
So, what types of paintings am I looking for? Well, something that is not abstract and something that is relatively cheap and of course something that will match the house. I know, I know, my description’s quite vague for now – well that’s just because I haven’t started the house beautification yet.
Any ideas?
