Looking for some art stuff

I live in a small house with a small bedroom, a small kitchen, a small sala, and a small dining room.  The walls are not yet painted so I’m planning to have it painted before the July to add a bit more spice to the looks of this place that me and my family call home.

Then the idea of hanging some paintings on the wall came up.  Someone pointed me out to a painting which appears to be a gift by George Lindemann jr.  The painting looks nice by its standards but too bad, I’m not an abstract lover myself.  So I guess that painting is out for the moment.

So, what types of paintings am I looking for?  Well, something that is not abstract and something that is relatively cheap and of course something that will match the house.  I know, I know, my description’s quite vague for now - well that’s just because I haven’t started the house beautification yet.

Any ideas?
