First Day at my New Job

Yes, you read the title right.  I have a job (again) and I’m planning
to stay in it for quite a long time.  Being a businessman (frustrated
as it may be) by heart, I still decided to accept the offer to help me
raise the funds that I need to pursue my dreams (believe me, I’ve got
lots and lots of dreams so I need to work really hard to obtain all of
them).

About my new job

The company is called Increase Media
(website still under construction) and we mainly do websites and
scripts and other stuff related to programming.  It’s located in Makati
- quite far from where I live which is in Bulacan - but that is nicely
balanced with the nice pay I’m receiving from them.  My job mainly is
to put into code whatever idea comes into the mind of my boss (hey,
that’s what programmers do anyway) and I think I’m going to like it.

My
first impression of the company is that it’s cool and has a very nice
family-like atmosphere.  Their’s laughter everywhere and I love it.  I
already feel at home and that makes the place very conducive for work.

Well,
that’s just about it.  I’m writing this blog post during office hours
(I work from 10am to 7pm) - just taking a break after finishing my
first assignment.

Ciao.

I have to admit that I’ve recently been very lazy in updating my blog and that’s mainly due to the lots of things that I have to finish - mainly work and church stuff.  So the moment I came across a news article from newsforge about Firefox’s ScribeFire Plugin, I decided to give it a good look and give it a try.

Thus far, it looks fine and I think I like it.  It makes it easier for me to write a blog without having to go through the login and admin pages of my wordpress blogs.  In fact, I’m writing this blog post using ScribeFire and I like it.

ScribeFire works with a variety of popular blogs namely, Wordpress, TypePad, LiveJournal, Windows Live Spaces, Performancing, Jeeran, and it’s configuration also lists a “Custom Blog” which I haven’t tried.  I can’t say how well it works for all the other blogs but it works pretty well with Wordpress.
