Just wish to let the world know that my 2nd baby girl just turned 6 today. Too bad I wasn’t able to take any photos (I’m at work). For the past 6 years, Vhi has grown from being a cute baby girl to a very active kid. Happy Birthday Vhi!

While reading my daily dose of RSS feeds, I came across one blog post by Michael Turner that says, “Typical Philippine Public Utility Pole” - a title I simply can’t resist. So I read the feed and God knows how much of a good laugh I got. The photo he took was just so representative of most public utility poles in major cities in the Philippines that it’s worth telling my readers (that’s you) about it.

As a side story, telephone wires and sometimes even electric lines are being stolen here in Bulacan. I’m sure that these thieves will loath over Mike’s photo - it looks so much like spaghetti.

To judge premium quality internet phone services we can find someone who has used the service and ask for feedback. We can’t look at their web site design and come to conclusion about any service be it wireless internet providers or voip providers. If you’re looking for voip service with free ip phones think again and take into consideration that nothing is free. The cost of free products is absorbed in the service in one way or another. Not having very impressive graphics webhosting net is a web hosting company that has many services on offer. They also have an active affiliate marketing program. Judge them by their quality of service.

I woke up switched on my Smart Bro internet connection and my router and everything appears to be fine… then I switched on my laptop to start my daily mail checking and browsing routines but there was no connection. The first thing that came to my mind was that Smart Bro is down again but I was wrong. But it was not down - so perhaps it was just slow I thought but I was wrong again.

The fault apparently was mine - I forgot to pay my bills. Hehehehe! I realized this after deciding to call Smart Bro’s toll free number and inquire about my problem. Well oh well, I guess I just have to go and pay for it tomorrow but I might just not be able to do so because tomorrow is election day here in the Philippines which means most establishments will be closed.

Good thing one of my neighbors - the delos Angeles family is kind enough to allow me to connect to their wireless router and that’s where I am at this very moment. Thanks to them.

To make most out of affiliate marketing, a firm must enforce some dos and don’ts for its affiliates. If you are selling internet phone software your affiliates must provide good informational content on their websites instead of stuffing up their sites with spam. Content should be relevant e.g. if you do custom website design business your affiliate can put web design basics tutorials and within the content links to your site can be placed. Clearly displaying the information about your product is also the key to success. E.g instead of computer backup solution it should be windows backup software solution or mac backup solution to offer the customer discrete information on each product. If you are marketing yourself as cheap web hosting provider then your affiliates should put up a comparison of other similar competitors and reason why your service is cheaper and on the same time offers more quality.

Hello people of the world.  I’m currently at the Legenda Hotel in Subic, Olongapo City.  I was invited by the Subic Olongapo IT Society (SOITS) to speak about PHP and AJAX.  The seminar is supposed to start at 8am but currently (8:16am) we haven’t started a bit yet.  The LCD projector is acting up (not mine) and we’re still waiting for the guests to arrive - mostly IT people from different companies, teachers, and students.

Who’s with me?  My dear wife Evelyn is with me together with her sister Elaine and Faith - a family friend.  We rented Elmer’s Mitsubishi Adventure for a minimal fee while Elmer himself drove for us.  Well… just waiting for things to start… I’m all set.  More about this later (and photos of course).
