Which of them is darker? Square A or square B? Take a look.

Truth is… squares A and B are of the same color. Take a look at them connected below.

It’s an optical illusion… if you don’t believe me then go ahead and save the image above and check the colors in Photoshop or some other photo imaging tool.

I just used ColorZilla (http://www.iosart.com/firefox/colorzilla/) and they are indeed the same. RGB > 120:120:120 or hex > #787878.

There are not the same,
by magnifying them and then comparing
you can see that B is slightly darker than A
and to be more quantative,
the darkest pixel in the A is #4c4c4c
whereas many pixels in B are darker,
the darkest being #373737
checked in photoshop
