I like puzzles… especially those large ones with small pieces. I just love it when I have to find the right pieces and put them in their right places. The best part however is when I finish the puzzle and come to a point where I simply admire the one image produced by putting together the hundreds of tiny pieces together.

Wrong pieces… there are however times when I put wrong pieces in right places. It may take quite a while before I realize that I chose the wrong piece. This is where I start to look for the right piece of the puzzle, take out the wrong one, and put in the right one. Guess what? Life can be so the same…

There are times in life when you think you’ve made the correct decision only to find out years later that you chose to put in the wrong piece of the puzzle. At this point, you just have to look for the right piece of the puzzle, take out the wrong one, and put in the right one… only this time it may cause quite a bit of pain to you and to both the right and wrong pieces. Tears may show and confusion may creep in but you just have to fix it and complete the puzzle. Only after you do that will you be able to enjoy the puzzle we call life.

Only by putting in the right pieces to their right places will you be able to enjoy the complete puzzle of your life. Life can never be complete if you keep on insisting that you did the right thing when you actually chose disaster.

Cheers! Have a good life!

Back to Baguio

It’s been I think 8 years since I last visited Baguio and all I can say is that I saw it from a different point of view this time. I left for Baguio last Saturday (August 25) morning (1am) and arrived there at around 7am. The six-hour trip was pretty much nothing as I slept most of the way with a very fat lady sitting beside me in the bus. She was both annoying and comforting. Annoying because she took so much space, comforting because she was like a pillow so it was quite balanced in a way.

Below are some photos I took that gave me a whole new perspective of what Baguio is. They were taken using my Motorokr E6 cellphone so please don’t expect too much.

First my brothers… I never knew there were handsome people in Baguio. They were almost at par with my near-divine looks.

The Pagulayan brothers… Paul and Oliver
Yes, they’re Pagulayan. We’re half-brothers but we treat each other more than that.

The cloud was overcast when I arrived in Baguio Saturday morning and I wasn’t able to see the sun shine through the clouds until the next day.

Stairway Calvary. Total of 93 steps in all from the first step inside the house where my mom and brothers live to the street. Whew!

Baguio Shanties and the Poor. While we mostly think of Baguio as a place to take pleasure in, there are lots of people living a frugal life in Baguio as evidenced by the shanties seen in the above photos. There are poor people in Baguio too you know!

Baguio Shanties on the Rock! I’m not talking of any new drink for us to enjoy. I’m talking about those shanties built ON that huge rock.

Amazing! People in Baguio also poop!

Now, let’s move on to the relatively new SM Baguio. Let’s start off with a blooper…

And of course, how could I forget the house where my mom and brothers stay. I stayed in it from Saturday until Monday morning and though it was small, it was also HOME.

Where we cook and wash the dishes (messy ayt?)

Where we eat and the living room. That’s my mom over there sitting in front of the computer. I think she’s playing mahjong.

And lastly… my most favorite spot. Where we watch TV and where we sleep.

There ya go! I wish I could have stayed longer in Baguio but I have to get back to work here in the busy jungle called Makati. I am however looking forward to go back before the year ends.

Regards to my mom and my bros!

Keep the Cool

What’d you do if you wrote a blog about something talking about someone who did something that’s really annoying to somebody (actually not just somebody but somebodies)? What’d you do if you were discovered to be the one who wrote this blog about something talking about someone who did something that’s really annoying to somebody (again that’s somebodies)? Would you lie or at least try to? Would you admit that it was you?

So here’s what I did. I wrote a blog about something talking about someone who did something really annoying to lots of somebodies and even nobodies. And being the natural writer that I am (ehem), the blog went up the SERPs for a few keywords. Someone (according to the law of chaos) eventually searched for these keywords and found out about the site. The word spread like fire and now they’re asking me if I did it.

Initial reaction was, “what are you talking about?” but it didn’t take me 5 minutes to build up the courage to say that it was me. Now, what would they do? Well… oh well… let’s wait and see. They can take action against me but my hope is that they take action to fix themselves or they can just do both.

For now, I’ll keep the cool.
