Our Family Trip to Baguio
My children have been bugging me for months now on when we will go to Baguio to visit their grandma and have a vacation. To their joy, we finally went up to the City of Pines last October 24 and stayed there until the 27th which was my mom’s birthday.

My wife and I agreed to rent our godfather’s van to make travel easier and more comfortable for us. We spent P10,000 total for the van rental, the driver, and the fuel but it was worth it as it made it easier for us to tour the different sites in Baguio. Also, thanks to Paul (my brother), we were able to rent a house for only P2,500 (3 days and 3 nights and a real bargain).
We took Kennon road on our way up and arrived in Baguio at about 10pm. We took some rest and prepared for next day’s tour. With us were Elaine (Evelyn’s sister), Noemi (Evelyn’s cousin), Aaron (Noemi’s boyfriend) and Elmer (our driver). Oliver (my brother) also went with us on our first “tour day”. We went to the following places:
Day 1
- Philippine Military Academy
- Camp John Hay
- The Mansion
- Wright Park
- Mines View
- Good Shepherd
- Botanical Garden
Day 2
- Burnham Park
- S.M. Baguio
- Mt. Sto Tomas (highest peak of Baguio)
Day 3
- Tamawan Village
- Easter Weaving Room
- Bell Tower
Took us 3 days to visit all these places and I have to admit that we all wish we had more time but we just have to go back to our everyday life. But before we went back to our “ordinary human lives” we first celebrated my Mom’s 49th Birthday in their apartment in Baguio.
Here’s a pic of me, my brothers and our mom.
It was a blast!!! Can’t wait to go back.
