Strawberry Quick and Cheese Meth
My Ninong Rene Lamzon forwarded an email to me about a new method of spreading methamphetamine (a.k.a. shabu, meth, etc) to kids in school. They call it “cheese” or strawberry quick and its deadly to kids. The very thought makes me sick. I just hope all these drug dealers, pushers and like be exterminated from the planet!
Here’s the email:
A MUST READ…. New drug in Schools…
Please pass this on even if you do not have kids in school. Parents should know about this killer drug.
Grandparents, send it to your families and friends.

This is a new drug known as ’strawberry quick ‘.
There is a very scary thing going on in the schools right now that we all need to be aware of.
There is a type of crystal meth going around that looks like strawberry pop rocks (the candy that sizzles and ‘pops’ in your mouth). It also smells like strawberry and it is being handed out to kids in school yards. They are calling it strawberry meth or strawberry quick.
Kids are ingesting this thinking that it is candy and being rushed off to the hospital in dire condition. It also comes in chocolate, peanut butter, cola, cherry, grape and orange.
Please instruct your children not to accept candy from strangers and even not to accept candy that looks like this from a friend (who may have been given it and believed it is candy) and to take any that they may have to a teacher, principal, etc. immediately.
Pass this email on to as many people as you can (even if they don’t have kids) so that we can raise awareness and hopefully prevent any tragedies from occurring.
Vector Graphics on CorelDraw

For years I thought that people have stopped using CorelDraw in creating vector graphics. Actually, the last time I saw someone use CorelDraw was like 10 years ago. Recently, all I’ve seen that’s being used is Adobe Illustrator. Just when my mind is settled that no one uses CorelDraw anymore, I saw a bunch of vector graphics on Picasa that were made using CorelDraw, I guess I spoke too soon.
Nice yoyo huh? You can find more CorelDraw vector graphics at Benj Arriola’s Picasa Album.
Vacation’s Over!!!
The 11-day holiday vacation (December 25 to January 4) here in the Philippines that had my boss running worried because I wasn’t working for such a long time is finally over. Now, it’s back to writing new programs, enhancing existing ones and the never-ending fixing of bugs.
Kei and Vhi are back in school which means that I’ll be hearing them and their mom arguing on homeworks and projects again. On the up-side the house will be quieter with only one of our three children being left behind at home because he’s not studying yet or did I speak too soon? He may be just one kid but Jae can turn the whole house upside down in just half a day. Oh well, as Luna Lovegood in “Harry Potter” used to say, “it’s all good fun.”
Speaking of Harry Potter, I finally got to finish books 6 and 7, both of which are awesome. They were so awesome I managed to finish both books in just 4 days.
So, what’s gonna be new for me this 2009? I gave up making New Year’s resolutions years ago. Instead of promising myself of what to do and what not to do, I decided to just get started on new things during the closing days of 2008. I didn’t burden myself with too much but instead just chose to focus on one thing – make more cash for 2009. I’ll be building more traffic to my sites in an effort to boost my adsense earnings and create new websites to sell affiliate products. Even better, instead of just promising myself to do it, I started doing it back in December.
Lastly, what did 2008 teach me? Well, it taught me a lot but the best lesson I learned from 2008 is take baby steps and take them immediately.
